What's Up with Croton Campaign Signs?

While Greenburgh Supervisor Paul Feiner is already bemoaning those campaign signs that remain planted long after elections are over, some Croton citizens are wondering where their signs have gone.

Several campaign signs around the village are missing, have blown away or been damaged, citizens have been reporting to Croton Police.

On Oct. 7 around 6 p.m., someone reported that political signs on Municipal Place and Route 9 South had been damaged, seemingly intentionally. Croton Detective Paul Camillieri noted however that a DOT sign had also been knocked down, so he speculated that perhaps a vehicle had hit both accidentally.

However, similar complaints kept coming. On Oct. 9 around 10 a.m., someone came to police headquarters to drop off a blue and white Rob Astorino sign that had been blowing in the roadway on Route 9 North.

Later that morning, a caller said Virginia Calcutti for Trustee signs were missing from Albany Post Road and Riverside Avenue.

Around 5 p.m. that day, someone reported a Tripodi sign was missing from Municipal Place.
