AMD to Celebrate National Writing Day

Calling all writers! Anne M. Dorner Middle School wants to showcase writers of all ages and styles in honor of the National Day on Writing.

Teachers and students are invited to submit stories, poems, journal entries, letters, articles and blogs for an online Gallery. The only requirement is that the writing be appropriate for a middle school audience as determined by AMD’s administration. Submissions must be received by Oct. 14th. Send work to fjacobson@ossining.k12.ny.us. All submissions should include the author’s name and title.

The National Day on Writing was established in 2009 by the National Council of Teachers of English.  It celebrates writing in all forms and demonstrates how writing is a vital part of our everyday lives.  Thousands of writers have submitted works to the National Gallery of Writing, an online gallery that showcases works from writers of all ages and talents.
