Despite many local Hercules-related cancellations, farmers (and shoppers) are a hearty breed.
The Ossining Farmers' Market, located at Spring and Main Street in downtown Ossining will begin again for the winter months Saturday, Jan. 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Check out their webpage for the vendors participating and selling greenhouse-grown fresh produce, pasture-raised meats and so much more.
Too cold? There is some heat here. "The outdoor winter market offers fresh food - and fresh air! - with regional farmers who embrace a lifestyle of working with Nature every day," market coordinators say. "Vendors can bring heat lamps for their tents, and the market manager invites everyone to warm up at the heater in her tent on days below 40 degrees."
