Recycle Electronics at Ossining's Earth Day 2012

Ossining's Earth Day will include the opportunity to recycle old electronic and office equipment.

On April 21 Ossining will be celebrating with a waterfront celebration at Louis Engel Park that will run from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. The annual “Stash the Trash” event will be happening on the same day from Noon to 4 p.m. 

At the waterfront celebration you will also be able to recycle your electronics.  Here's a list of what you can get rid of:

  • Computers, CPUs, Laptops, Monitors, Servers
  • Mice, Keyboards, Wires,
  • Printers, Fax Machines, Copiers, Ink and Toner Cartridges
  • UPS Batteries, Telephone Systems, Stereo Equipment, Cell Phones,
  • Television Sets, Air Conditioner Units.

All are recycled for free except:
Television Sets and Air Conditioner units $10 charge.

As for the rest of the Ossining Earth Day celebration, many food and “green” vendors have already signed up for the event. Music and product demos are scheduled, as well as information from many groups concerning sustainable living.
