Arbor Day Events During Ossining's Earth Day Celebration
You will have a chance to take part in the "Free-a-Tree" event and a special presentation on tree vines during the Ossining Earth Day Celebration.
On April 21 Ossining will be celebrating with a waterfront celebration at Louis Engel Park that will run from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. The annual “Stash the Trash/Free-a-Tree” event will be happening on the same day from Noon to 4 p.m.
In addition, stop by the main stage at 11:30 AM for the "Introduction to Invasive Vines on Trees" presentation. The presentation is for those who wonder about the vines attached to their trees.
After the presentation, it will be time for "Stash the Trash/Free-a-Tree" at noon. Participants will clean up different areas using biodegradable garbage bags and will receive Green Ossining stainless steel hip water bottles.

The Earth Day celebration will be going on at the waterfront all afternoon, so when you return you can enjoy the vendors and food available.
At 4:00 PM there will be a tree planting ceremony at Nelson Sitting Park. Eight elm trees will be planted by all of those in attendance.
