Specialty Camps: Summer Camp Directory 2013

These programs are for kids with special interests or abilities.

 

Whether your child can’t get enough baseball, or has a passion for painting, or seeks to be around others who share his or her special condition, there are plenty of camps in our region (and beyond) that cater to those interests.

When it comes to planning a fun and enriching experience for your children, the many summer camps and programs in Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties offer something for every kind of ability, interest and schedule.

Five 1-week sessions between June 23-July 26.
Ages served: 8 to 18 years. This camp is open to participants of all levels from beginners to tournament players.  Full-day and overnight options.  High level instruction from top coaches, stroke production, supervised match play, fun tournaments on the college's beautiful twelve lit courts.  Ramapo has an indoor pool, state-of-the art dorms, each room air-conditioned and with its own bathroom, fridge, and microwave.  Great food and fun evening activities. Also offering ADIDAS CARIBBEAN, at Morgan Bay Beach Resort, St. Lucia, West Indies. Ages 13-18, open to particpants of all levels.  This unique program offers all-inclusive four star resort accommodations right on the beach.  In the
mornings, participants train and drill, focusing on stroke production and
match play.  They also get instruction on how to teach tennis.  In the
afternoons, campers earn community service hour credits by running a free tennis camp for local kids ages 7-15. This project is done in conjunction with the St. Lucia Ministry of Youth and Sports.  Time for water sports and a half-day island excursion as well.
