Ossining Area 4th of July Celebrations

The skies will light up in honor of Independence Day with festivities taking place in the surrounding area.

Summer is finally here and our nation's birthday is being honored around the nation and in our towns.  Check out the list below for fireworks and fun close to home.

Independence Day Fair at John Jay Homestead

When/Where: Wednesday, July 4, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at

Details: Join Friends of John Jay Homestead and the Rotary Club of Bedford-Armonk for a celebration of America's founding at the Independence Day Fair. Bring your family for the reading of the Declaration of Independence and sign a copy. Family fun includes sheep herding, bee keeping and blacksmith demonstrations, crafts, hayrides, games, live music, log cutting and plenty of food from the grill. Enter a pie for the apple pie contest!

Price: Admission to grounds and Reading are free; food, house tours and some special activities are available by ticket purchase.

July Fourth Frenzy Family Fun Day at the Pleasantville Pool

When/Where: Wednesday, July 4, 1-4 p.m. at the

Details:  For Pleasantville Pool Members & Guests: Enjoy a DJ and kickboard races, Kiddie Pool Treasure Hunt, Limbo Contest, Prizes, Ice Pops and a special snack bar menu.

Dobbs Ferry Waterfront Park Picnic and Fireworks

When/Where:  Wednesday, July 4, beginning at 12:30 p.m. (fireworks begin at dusk) at Thomas Cullen Park.

Details:  A day full of entertainment and a night of fireworks

Price:  Free

 

Village of Irvington July 4th Celebration

When/Where:  Wednesday, July 4, from 5-9 p.m. at Matthieseen Park in Irvington.

Details: Come enjoy family fun, entertainment, music and food. Park permits are required

Price:  Free

 

Concert and Fireworks at Peekskill’s Riverfront Green Park

When/Where:  Wednesday, July 4, 7 p.m., at (Hudson Avenue and Route 9, Peekskill

Details: Blues and funk band Black Dirt will play a concert at before the fireworks are set off.

Price:  Free

 

Rye Playland Fireworks

When/Where:  Wednesday, July 4, with fireworks at 9:30 p.m. at Rye Playland

Details: Come enjoy rides during the day and an exciting fireworks show choreographed to music. The fireworks will continue every Wednesday and Friday at 9:15pm through August 31st.

Price:  Fireworks are free

 

Harbor Island Park Carnival and Fireworks

When/Where:  Wednesday, July 4: Carnival at 7 p.m,. followed by fireworks at 9 p.m. at Mamaroneck Ave. S. & E. Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck

 

Pops, Patriots & Fireworks

When/Where: Wednesday, July 4, at 8:00 PM in the Venetian Theater at

Details:  Michael Barrett leads the Orchestra of St. Luke’s in the music of George Gershwin. Some of his greatest works, the Rhapsody in Blue, performed by John Musto, and hit songs sung by Darius DeHaas and Carla Jablonski will complete the patriotic preparations for the pyrotechnic fireworks to follow.

Price:  Tickets are $30, $40, $50, $60, and $70. Children under 16 are half price.
