Having a Blast at St. Augustine's Fest

People across Westchester are having the time of their lives at the annual St. Augustine Festival in the volunteer-spirited town.

This year's Italian Festival is living up to its reputation. In its 35th year, this Ossining institution isn't showing any signs of slowing down. People come from all around to treat themselves to chicken and eggplant parmesan, calamari, spaghetti and meatballs, pizza and cannoli.

Saint Augustine parishioner Joe Pollock was kind enough to send us a number of pictures from the festival. Please click on the gallery to the right to check them out.

When you go to the festival, you know that food is only part of the fun. When you're there, you get a great view of the Hudson River on the parish's beautiful grounds. There are also plenty of games for the kiddies to ride on.

Other fun at the fest includes music, prizes and, of course, the famous St. Augustine's Festival fireworks display, which has been moved to Sunday. For those feeling lucky, there's an indoor air-conditioned casino. As always, the parking and admission to the festival is free.

The fest runs through Sunday daily, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. each night. St. Augustine is located at 381 N. Highland Ave. in Ossining.
