A Look at the Day Ahead

Ossining's Saint Augustine Festival, Ossining High's class of '62, Mike Risko Music and Shattemuc Yacht Club are all making news this morning.

Good morning Croton and Ossining. Today is going to be a great Thursday.

The fireworks for the 35th Annual St. Augustine Italian Festival have been moved to Sunday. The festival, which runs through Sunday night, is on the grounds of the church. To get more information about the festival and to check out the video for the fest click here. The video was produced by Ossining's full-service video production company , which is located on Spring St.

Croton-on-Hudson's will be closed today because a tree fell in the swimming area. Officials say they are working on removing the tree. They hope to reopen Silver Lake as soon as possible.

If you're part of class of 1962, then you should email Mary Martin Mulhall at ammulhall@optonline.net. Mary is working to coordinate a 50th anniversary reunion in October. And if you know of any '62 grads, please reach out to them.

Miriam and Mike Risko, of Ossining's , were presented with a $1,000 check yesterday afternoon. The Riskos were the proud winners of the rotary club's duck race. Miriam tells Patch that her plan is to take the $1,000 she won and spend it in Ossining, so she can put the money back into the community. You can see a picture of the check presentation to the right of this column.
