Vincent Mercogliano of the LoHud Baseball Blog reported that No. 1 Briarcliff defeated No. 16 Croton-Harmon 5-0 in the opening round of the Section 1 Class B Tournament on May 25.
Brian Soares was 1 for 2 for the Tigers.

Ossining
Mercogliano also reported that on the same day No. 11 Ossining's Matt Belitz was 1 for 3 for the No. 11 Pride in their 4-0 loss to host No. 6 Carmel in the opening round of the Section 1 Class AA tournament.
Softball
No. 17 Ossining's Cyan Scarduzio went 3 for 4 with a triple and two RBI for the Pride in their 11-4 loss against visiting No. 16 New Rochelle in an out-bracket game of the Section 1 Class AA Tournament on May 24.
The game, originally scheduled for New Rochelle, was played at Ossining due to field conditions as per Debbie Schechter's post on the LoHud Softball Blog.
