Ossining Tennis Champ in Flushing

Ossining's Jamie Loeb will play in the U.S. Open Junior Tennis Championships in Flushing, Queens.

Thanks to Shannon Ross for the following.

Jamie Loeb, 17 year old Ossining resident, has a berth into the main draw of the United States Open Junior Tennis Championships, held September 3—9 at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, NY.

Loeb received a wild card into the qualifying round last year. Based on some very solid results in both USTA junior and satellite events, she received a wild card for entry into the main draw for the 2012 championship.

Currently ranked #3 nationally in the 18 and under division, she reached the finals of the USTA Super National Clay Courts, in both singles and doubles this year. She captured two ITFS titles this summer, one in Delray,FL and the other at the Philadelphia Cricket Club.

In August she won both singles and doubles at the Sargent and Collins LLP  $10,000.00 USTA event in Buffalo, NY. Asked for her thoughts about the upcoming competition she said,” I am very excited to be playing in the main draw junior US Open. I am from New York and have been attending the Open each year as a kid. This is part of my dream to play in front of the home crowd”.
