For those who missed it, take a look back at Vincent Mercogliano's fine piece on the LoHud Wrestling Blog and Mike Zacchio's story on LoHud.com recognizing him as the Con-Ed Scholar Athlete Award winner.

Women's Basketball

Alex Venuto (Ossining '10) and her fifth-seeded NYIT teammates fought hard but fell 85-70 to fourth-seeded C.W. Post in the first round of the East Coast Conference Women's Basketball Championship Tournament Feb. 29.

Venuto recorded two rebounds, six points, one assist and three steals in 16 minutes of play against C.W. Post.

Despite the loss it was a great year for the Bears as they finished their 2011-2012 campaign with a 16-13 overall record, the best mark ever produced by the program.

See this page on the school's website for more details.

The Opposition
