Ferry Sloops members, Andy & Gavin Hofer, will present an introduction to some of the important knots used in sailing, as well as a few of the less common, but interesting knots, at our Member Meeting on Wednesday, August 1 at 7:30PM.
Our instructors will show you "hands-on" how to tie a variety of boating & nautical knots. Also, learn some great resources for practicing knots, a review of different types of line, safety issues, and proper handling of line under load and line loading. Admission is FREE.
Monthly meetings are held at the Nature Center in Croton Point Park. Our potluck supper begins at 6:30PM, followed by our meeting at 7:00PM and guest presenter at 7:30PM.
