According to literature on the Ossining Union Free School District website, alternative options being explored by the district for the coming academic year include: eliminating pre-k transportation, eliminating a third grade elementary position, reducing math and english electives at Ossining High School and increasing grade three and/or grade five class size.

The district previously said the initiative would have saved approximately $413,262 in the 2013-14 academic year.
