Students from five area school districts were honored at the annual breakfast meeting held at The Garrison on Thursday, June 7.
The Chamber's Scholarship committee members presented the impressive students with $1,000 scholarship awards, granted to them based on merit. Students were required to submit a letter and resume to be considered. The six students chosen for the scholarship from among 70 applicants were:
- Patrick Roeschel- Croton Harmon High School: Patrick is an avid hiker and has volunteered and worked at many nature related organizations. He plans to study Operations Research Engineering at Cornell University next year.

- Luke Friedman- :Luke has excelled in advanced math and science classes, and aims to work in Industrial Engineering for a corporation. He is also a pianist and has been involved with several volunteer organizations.
- Stephanie Gil-
- Andrew Orefice- Putnam Valley High School: Andrew has always been fascinated with learning how the human body functions. He plans to pursue a career in medicine and to help find and create cures for diseases.
Each of these students are involved with many high school extra-curricular activities and clubs and graciously thanked the Chamber members for their support and for the scholarship award .
