Annual Health & Wellness Fair

The Ossining Union Free School District held its annual Health and Wellness Fair at the Claremont School.

The following is a news release from OUFSD.

Visitors to the Ossining School District’s annual Health & Wellness Fair could get their blood pressure checked, hear a presentation on diet and exercise, learn how to protect themselves against colds and flu, get a free child safety ID badge, buy a warm coat for winter and learn about the Volunteer Ambulance Corps. – all in one place.

The fair drew about 600 people from the community. Organized by Vicki Marrin and Alyson Perriott, Wellness Coordinators for the district, the fair could not have taken place without the support of many community organizations including: Ossining PTA, Ossining Girl Scouts, Ossining Open Door, Ninth District Dental Association, Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps., Whitsons, Eat Smart NY!/Cornell Cooperative Extension, Masonic Safety Identification Program, Junior League of Westchester on Hudson, Community Markets, and My Sisters Place. The Health & Wellness Fair was held on November 5.
