The Westchester-Putnam School Boards Association (WPSBA) is sponsoring its annual Prospective School Board Member Workshop this Thursday evening, March 29 from 5:45 pm -9:30 pm at the Education House, 5 Homeside Lane in White Plains.

Anyone interested in running for their local school boards now or in the future is encouraged and invited to attend.

The program will feature a panel of current school board members and an area school superintendent discussing topics such as: roles and responsibilities, district issues and operations, board/superintendent relationships, school district budgets, and the myths and realities of board service.  Workshop participants will have the opportunity to participate in a board meeting scenario and consider typical board of education issues.
