Got an Opinion on Ossining Apartment Living?

The Village Landlord Tenant Relations Council is looking for recruits.

They are some of the unsung heroes in the .  You may not have heard of them, but the Village’s Landlord Tenant Relations Council has been working quietly to better our housing environment for more than 24 years.  And now they’re looking for new members.

Anyone who has rented an apartment or rented out an apartment knows that rental situations can occasionally get sticky; that’s why the Council is there to smooth things over.  They analyze housing problems that crop up in our community and work hard to fix them.

The Landlord-Tenant Relations Council is made up of seven people:  three of them represent the landlords, three others represent renters, and Council member number seven is impartial.  The Council members are picked by the Village Board of Trustees, and serve a maximum of two years.  And you won’t get rich serving on the Council, since the position is unpaid.
