Bridge Meetings this Week: Meet Team, Get Job

There are several public meetings for the New NY Bridge this side of the Hudson this week, from a chance to meet the design-build team to a seminar on jobs.

This first week of February will be a busy one in bridge-land as we get ever closer to the fast-track Spring projected start date of "New NY Bridge" construction.

There are several meetings this side of the Hudson this week: one to introduce the public to the Tappan Zee Constructors design-build team, several public hearings for the public to comment on the Department of Environmental Conservation draft permits, and lastly, a chance to hear about how to get one of the many jobs that will come to our region.

Here are bridge hearings in Tarrytown this week, listed on NewNYBridge.com:

COMMUNITY MEETING WITH NEW NY BRIDGE'S DESIGN-BUILD TEAM

Representatives from Tappan Zee Constructors, the Thruway Authority, and the Governor's office will be on hand to present the design-build team's comprehensive plan and answer questions.

Our two local liasions representing Tarrytown’s specific concerns throughout this process, Mayor Drew Fixell and Planning Board’s David Aukland will also be in attendance.

NYS DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION PUBLIC HEARINGS

  • Thursday, Feb. 7
at 2  and 6 p.m., Westchester Marriott, Tarrytown Grand Ballroom

"The only way a project of this magnitude can be successful is if everyone involved has their voice heard," said Governor Andrew Cuomo. "These meetings will be an incredibly useful tool in achieving this goal, for both the design-build team and the general public."

And finally to Elmsford:
