Toddler Walks Quarter-Mile Alone

Carmel police dispatcher Robert Lewandowski stopped a diaper-clad toddler from entering Croton Falls Road as cars approached, reports LoHud. The incident occurred across the street from police headquarters after an ex-Cub Scout named Kian Bell, who was at the station with his mom, saw what he thought was a man approaching the street and pointed out the figure to his mother. The toddler was returned to his mother, who was not charged. LoHud reports that when family asked the toddler where he planned to go, the boy said to visit his grandfather. 

Mt. Kisco police believe a steel ball from a sling shot caused damage to a Lexington Ave. window. 

A man spit on a mailbox and left non-threatening Post-It notes at a Mamaroneck business. The actions were spurred on by an ongoing dispute over intellectual property. 

A New City judge sentenced Augustine Rubio-Velasquez, 23, to three years in state prison and three years post-release supervision for second-degree assault for cutting off part of another man's ear during an attack.

A  employee allegedly stole more than $3,000 from the White Plains store with the help of a friend. Police suspect the friend would select random merchandise from the store and bring it to the counter, where the employee would credit the goods as a return to his own bank card.  

Hastings police arranged for a taxi to take an elderly woman's cat to an area veterinary hospital.

Yep. I have three under six, living on a state highway. Terrifying.
