Wednesday, March 14 – 10:53 a.m. – Staff at St. Augustine’s School on N. Highland Avenue reported that a possible rabid raccoon was seen on school grounds. Westchester County police officers responded but the animal could not be located.
Thursday, March 8 – 2:45 a.m. – An 18-year-old Ossining resident was issued summonses for Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device after he was observed going through a red light at Route 9A and Chappaqua Road. Westchester County Police Officer Richard Maccarrone detected an odor of marijuana in the vehicle after stopping it on Pleasantville Road and recovered a small amount of marijuana from the center console. The youth was issued summonses at the scene requiring him to appear on April 24 in Ossining Town Court.
Tuesday, March 6 – 8 a.m. – Westchester County Police responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a residence on Hillcrest Avenue. The dispute was determined to be only verbal in nature.
2:31 p.m. -- – Westchester County police responded to a residence on Wyches Way to assist a 63-year-old woman who fell and injured herself at home. The Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps also responded and transported the woman to Phelps Memorial Hospital Center in Sleepy Hollow.
4:42 p.m. – A patron at Club Fit reported that someone vandalized her car with spray paint while it was parked outside the gym on North State Road.
6:54 p.m. – Westchester County Police received a report that a man and woman were going door to door in the vicinity of Hillcrest Avenue and Samstag Avenue. Officers responded but could not locate the pair.
Monday, March 5 – 12:57 p.m. – Westchester County police responded to a residence on Samstag Avenue to assist a woman who was having difficulty breathing. The Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps also responded and transported the woman to a local hospital.
