Mayra J. Linares, 22, of New Rochelle, was arrested Feb. 21 on a bench warrant for failure to appear in Ossining Court on a charge of driving while intoxicated, Ossining village police said. New Rochelle police discovered the outstanding warrant from 18 months back when they ran a background check Feb. 21 while responding to a dispute. Linares was processed in Ossining and sent to Westchester County Jail.
Christopher Grier, 23, of Ossining, also had failed to appear in court to answer a criminal charge, police said. He was arrested at Ossining police headquarters Feb. 20.
Cavin Williams of Peekskill was arraigned on a warrant charging him with third-degree bail-jumping in connection with a grand larceny charge. He was brought from Westchester County Jail where he was being held on unrelated charges and sent back there to be held without bail.
Williams, 31, also faces several felony and misdemeanor charges in Yorktown and an unrelated assault charge in Ossining. Williams was also wanted by New York State for parole violation, said Ossining police Lt. William Sullivan.
Last month Williams was the subject of a police chase in Yorktown. Yorktown police said Williams and Christine Nohai, 41, of Buchanan, fled TJ Maxx, located in the Triangle Shopping Center area, in a black pickup truck on Jan. 18 at about 1:03 p.m. They had used a stolen credit card to purchase $243.90 worth of clothing from the store.
