Smoking Outlets, Unlicensed Driver: Croton Police

Here are some recent incidents in the village.

Dec. 25—9:29 a.m. A Grand Street resident reported flames coming out of an outlet. The Croton Fire Department responded and the situation was corrected. 

Dec. 26—12:41 a.m. A Larkin Place resident called police headquarters to report a shot fired in the neighborhood. Police officers searching the area found nothing.

11:42 p.m. Diego F. Patino of Peekskill is due in Village Court Jan. 2 to answer charges of criminal impersonation and obstruction of government administration and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Patino gave a false name to an officer after the car he was driving was stopped on South Riverside Avenue, police said. He was released on $300 cash bail.

Dec. 28—1:25 p.m. A caller reported a rabid coyote in the upper lot at the Croton Harmon Metro North Station. Responding police saw the animal on the Metro Enviro property. It ran off. It did not appear rabid, police said. 

Dec. 29—9:39 p.m. A Finney Farm Road resident called to report smoke coming from an electrical outlet. The Croton Fire Department handled the situation.
