Ossining Prescription Drug Arrest

A Westchester man faces felony charges after police say he tried to pass off a fake prescription at an Ossining Pharmacy.

Police say a man tried to get prescription drugs at an Ossining pharmacy with a forged prescription. 36-year-old Matthew J. Verzi faces felony charges after being arrested for forgery and possession of a controlled substance.

Investigators say the Peekskill man went into on Main St. on Wednesday with a forged prescription. When the pharmacist saw that the prescription was forged he called police.

Police arrested Verzi and he was then arraigned before Town Justice Koba. Verzi was eventually released on $7,500 bail.
