Police Stop On-Street Basketball on Nordica
Croton-on-Hudson forbids ball-playing in the street.
A Nordica Drive resident called Croton police May 7 to complain that a basketball hoop in the street was dangerous.
Village code prohibits playing ball in the street.
A patrol was dispatched. No one was found playing basketball. The owner of the hoop was asked to remove it. The neighbors also talked to each other, police said.
