Police Say Queens Man Planned to Slip Pot to Sing Sing Inmate

A 27-year-old from Queens is facing charges of Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of Marihuana 5th Degree.
  
The man, a visitor at Sing Sing Correctional Facility in Ossining, is accused of possessing a quantity of marihuana which he intended to furnish to a friend who is an inmate at the facility. Correction Officers located the contraband on him and contacted State Police who arrested him at 9:22 p.m. March 24. 
 
He was processed at the State Police Barracks in Hawthorne and released pending a court date of April 1 in the Village of Ossining Court.
