Police Make Felony Drug Arrest in Ossining

A James Street resident was arrested after police executed a search warrant at his apartment building.

The Emergency Entry Team executed a search warrant at 15 James Street, Apartment A5. The warrant was for the apartment and person of Edward Brooks Jr., age 39.

As a result of the operation Mr. .Brooks was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree, a class D felony. He was also charged with 2 counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia, a class a misdemeanor.

Officers searching the apartment discovered a quantity of cocaine and items, including a scale, which are commonly used for the preparation and packing of drugs. Mr. Brooks was held for arraignment in the police lock-up.
