Police: Cortlandt Man Found with 94 Bags of Heroin

Westchester County Police arrested Eric Rabe, 23, after a month-long investigation into heroin sales.

Eric Rabe, 23, is scheduled to appear in Cortlandt Town Court March 22 on a felony charge of criminal sale of a controlled substance.

The Westchester County Police Narcotic’s Unit arrested Rabe, of Trolley Road in Cortlandt Manor, March 19, following a month-long investigation.

Rabe was arrested at 2 p.m. on Westbrook Drive after police detectives developed information about a drug deal there. He was found in possession of 30 bags of heroin at that time, police said.

They searched his home following his arrest and found an additional 64 bags of heroin and $1,800 in cash.

The heroin sells for about $15 per bag when sold individually and about $10 per bag when purchased in bundles of 10, according to police.

Rabe was arraigned and sent to Westchester County Jail without bail.

George N. Longworth, commissioner of the county Department of Public Safety, said the Department was committed to continuing to combat drug dealing by investigating both large-scale distribution networks as well as street-level dealers.
