Pleasantville Woman Accused of Selling Heroin

Peeskill police arrested the village woman after a year-long investigation.

A year-long investigation led to the arrest of Pleasantville resident Deborah Downs last week, the Peekskill Police Department reported.

According to police records, the 42-year-old was investigated after a lengthy heroin sale investigation.

Police Officer John Merritt took Downs into custody on Nelson Avenue on Thursday, March 21, records show.

Downs is charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and two counts Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree. 

Following her arrest in Peekskill, police reported Downs was held for arraignment.

According to Westchester jail records, there is no bail set for Downs. She is next due in court on July 11.
