Ossining Teen Charged with Molesting Child

A 16-year-old Ossining male teen was arrested by the Village of Ossining Police late last week for allegedly having repeated sexual conduct with a 5-year-old boy, according to a report in the Journal News

Sleepy Hollow's Phelps Memorial Hospital apparently treated the young boy and then alerted village police, the report said.

The alleged sexual contact with the child had occurred "on an unspecified number of occasions for nearly a year," according to the Journal News.

The teen, whose name was not released to protect the identity of the victim, whom he allegedly knew, was charged with two counts of criminal sex act, a felony. He is being held without bail at Westchester County Jail in Valhalla.

Note: An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
