Ossining's Finest Derail Massive Teen Party

Authorities continue to investigate Saturday's large-scale underage attempted party in Ossining.

The says their investigation into a thwarted massive teen party at a vacant building is ongoing. On Saturday, Ossining's Finest derailed a party that on North Water St. Investigators say as many as 4,000 underage youths were planning to attend the St. Patrick's Day party.

The underage drinking party was set to kick off at 8 o' clock on Saturday night. Youths were informed about the party via an email invitation. The invitation was apparently sent to several thousand young people in the area. Within the e-vite there were references to drugs and alcohol. The party was also promoted via social media.

The party invites came from a source that identified itself as "Project New York." Patch asked the Ossining Police Department if they were able to track down the party organizers and figure out who sent the emails out.

"According to what I know, I believe the organizers were minors… The investigation is ongoing, but a number of people are minors. Since we prevented any party there wouldn't necessarily be any chargeable offenses even if we discover names," said Ossining Police Spokesman Lt. Mike McElroy. "
