Ossining's Bravest & Finest Respond to Apartment Fire

The Ossining Fire & Police Departments responded to an evening apartment fire.

On Easter, April 8th, at around 8:48 PM Ossining Police and Fire apparatus were dispatched to Scarborough Manor Apartments, Building 2, 4th Floor on a report of heavy smoke in the hallway.

Police Officers arriving discovered a thick black smoke covering the floors and initiated an evacuation of the floor. Sgt. Damiano and Officer Maiorana assisted an elderly man in a wheel chair to evacuate the building. The source of the fire was located in Apartment 4 B and was extinguished.

No serious injuries occurred. The source of the fire appeared to be in the kitchen area of Apartment 4 B.
