Ossining Police: Drug Arrest for Erratic Driver, Assault at Corinthian Lodge

A summary of recent police activity and arrests in the village of Ossining.

DWI-Drugs

A 22-year-old Mt. Kisco man was arrested by Village of Ossining Police at 2:01 a.m. on August 22 on a charge of driving under the influence of drugs. 

Officers observed a driver going erratically on South Highland Avenue, Lt. William Sullivan said. They pulled Goldsmith over and found him unable to answer their questions, charging him with:

  • DWI - operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs, 
  • and unlawful possession of marijuana. 
He was released with an upcoming court date. 

Protection Order Violation

Ossining police arrested a Poughkeepsie woman on two outstanding warrants on the morning of August 20. 

The 31-year-old had been charged with violating and order of protection. 

Assault

A 35-year-old Ossining woman was taken into police custody after a fight left another woman injured.

A 51-year-old resident was taken to the hospital, treated and released after a dispute in the Corinthian Lodge on State Street on August 17, Lt. William Sullivan said.

During an argument, the victim was struck in the face. 

The alleged assailant was charged with third degree assault, a misdemeanor.
