Ossining PD Investigate Burglary

The Village of Ossining Police Department is looking for a burglary suspect.

The Ossining Police were alerted to a burglary that was taking place on Pine Avenue. It was called in to 911 by a friend of the home owner. Around 10:28 in the morning a caller to 911 alerted the police that her friend had an intruder in her house on Pine Avenue. Police Units responded within moments.  Upon their arrival the resident of the home stated that she heard noises in the downstairs apartment earlier, but thought it was the tenants. Sometime later, while she was on the phone with her friend, she heard someone walking up the stairs toward her bedroom, when she was suddenly confronted by the presence of a stranger who told her to” sit down and be quiet.”

At that point she began screaming and her friend on the phone hung up and dialed 911. The homeowner described the intruder as a white male in his forties, wearing blue jeans and a dark colored shirt. She reports he was about 5’6” tall with a medium build. The man fled the house and ran in the direction of Dale Avenue.
