Ossining Home Burglaries Investigated

The Village of Ossining is investigating two similar burglaries. Investigators say both of the burglaries happened on August 28. In both instances, the burglar or burglars got into the homes through rear windows.

The burglaries happened on Beach Rd. and Broadway between the hours of 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. The owner of the home on Beach Rd. says that jewelry and clothes were taken. The Broadway homeowner still hasn't determined whether anything was actually taken from their home.

The burglaries come as the Village of Ossining Police Department investigates a separate incident that happened at Open Door Family Medical Center downtown. The medical center told police that $95 was taken from their facility. The cash was apparently in an envelope behind the medical center's reception desk. Ossining Police are poring over surveillance video footage for clues. Open Door Medical Center reported the theft on Tuesday.
