Ossining Cops: Teens Assault 42-Year-Old, Man Tries to Beat Up Girlfriend

An 18-year-old male and a 16-year-old female were charged with assaulting a 42-year-old man in the village.

Apparently this is a dispute that's been "ongoing," said Lt. William Sullivan.

Police responded to a report of a fight on State Street at 1:35 p.m. on Dec. 2.

The two teens were charged with misdemeanor third degree assault. The female was also charged with tampering with witness in the second, "because she threatened the man with bodily harm if he talked," Sullivan said.

The victim refused medical attention.

In another unrelated incident, a 20-year-old Ossining resident was charged with criminal mischief in the third and attempted assault in the second after police found he had allegedly tried to beat up his girlfriend and then went on to damage her car.

On Nov. 30 at 8:20 p.m., the man allegedly pushed his girlfriend down and tried to hurt her. Then he broke the mirrors off the car, Sullivan said.

The girlfriend had "minor bleeding" and was treated in headquarters by the Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Sullivan said.

The boyfriend, Sullivan said, "was highly intoxicated."
