Con Ed Repairs Gas Leak on Grand Street

A caller smelled gas Feb. 10.

A caller reported smelling gas on Grand Street at 7:50 a.m. Feb 10, Croton police said.

The Croton Fire Department responded to the scene, and Con Ed was called in.

There was an outside leak. The utility company dug up a section of sidewalk in front of Holy Name of Mary Church's parish center to effect repairs.

The hole was backfilled by Con Ed and now awaits a permanent section of sidewalk.
