@A mom of three I've helped all to many in the past 22 years. I've seen the good and the bad of what happens to runaways. I've seen them come back unharmed, in jail or in a casket. What I disliked about your comment in particular that you, as a mother, is your callousness towards this whole incident and towards the people here who were looking to help in their own way. You just jump in and blame the parents and start to play the race card. How helpful is that? So please spare me your Mother Teresa act and just be grateful that your three kids are still with you.

Do you really think that the police are THAT incompetent not to have checked his cellphone or banking activity? If so, then you should stop paying your taxes altogether because you evidently don't think you're getting any level of protection here. The kid was last seen arouund Cornell's Univ New York Psychiatric Hospital on Bloomingdale Rd. Let's spell this out so there are no disillusions here. Evidently, he ran away because there are problems at home that involve him. Does that mean he's crazy or on drugs or in danger of hurting himself? Only his parents know and they should be forthcoming to the public as someone else said. It's not fair to make people think there may be a kidnapper on the loose when really this kid ran away due to his own issues at home.

WRONG! Don't expect the public to help if they don't have the right tools to do so with. You have no expect or demand that people help find this kid or keep an eye open for him if they are not willing to explain what is really going on here and provide more information to the public. Is he a danger to society? Oh...we are not allowed to ask that! We should just become CSI experts without any details - because we are just nosy! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!
