Dec. 8—1:32 p.m. Westchester County Police responded to an activated burglar alarm on Hillcrest Avenue and found damage to the glass in a rear bedroom window. The homeowner was contacted and she told officers that the damage was not new and that it was responsible for tripping the alarm on another occasion. The home was otherwise found to be secure.
Dec. 6—7 p.m. A student at Anne M. Dorner Middle School and her father came to county police headquarters in Hawthorne to report that the girl’s cell phone was taken from the girl’s locker room the previous day. The girl said she placed the phone on a shelf under some clothing at about 2:45 p.m. and the phone was gone when she went to retrieve it at 4:30 p.m.
Dec. 5—11:44 p.m. Westchester County Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in front of a residence on Hawkes Close Road. Officers determined it belonged to a resident of a nearby street.
Dec. 4—8:23 a.m. County police assisted a 10-year-old boy who hurt his back at St. Augustine’s School on Route 9. The boy was taken by the Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps to Phelps Memorial Hospital Center in Sleepy Hollow.
Dec. 3—4:48 p.m. Westchester County Police responded to the town Highway Department garage on a report of a suspicious person there. An officer found a Con Edison crew working across the street but there were no persons on the Highway Department property and no signs of forced entry to the garage.
