Minor Accidents and Marijuana: Croton Police Blotter
Here are some of the incidents to which Croton police responded in the past week.
Feb. 23: 11:31 p.m.—A caller reported his vehicle was struck by a passing car while it was parked in front of the former Anton's restaurant on South Riverside Avenue.
10:54 a.m.—Several callers reported an accident on Maple Street near the park. A Cortlandt Manor resident had hit a parked car; he was injured and transported to Hudson Valley Hospital Center.
Feb. 21: 2:53 p.m.—Police on patrol stopped a car northbound on Route 9 for vehicle and traffic violations. The passenger turned out to be the subject of a warrant from the New York City police department; however, the NYPD decided not to send someone out so the person, a Peekskill resident, was released.

7:40 a.m.—Police issued a summons to an unlicensed driver after a minor morning rush-hour accident on Croton Point Avenue near the train station.
Feb. 20: 5:23 p.m.—Food in the staff kitchen was the source of a fire alarm at the CVS.

3:30 p.m.—A Hyde Park woman turned herself in on a warrant for not showing up in court over a charge of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Bail was set at $200 and paid.
3 p.m.—A Metro-North employee reported his company truck had been sideswiped by a fuel company truck on Route 9A.
1:05 p.m.—A patrol on Route 9 stopped a car with overly-tinted windows. Police ended up charging the driver, a 30-year-old resident of Scenic Drive, with criminal possession of a controlled substance after finding three pills and some marijuana in the car.
