Injured Hawk, Mistaken Stalker: Croton Police Blotter

Here are some of the incidents the Croton police responded to last week.

March 19: 9:04 a.m.—Police assisted in the rescue of an injured hawk that had been seen the day before in the median on Route 9A near the Senasqua Road exit.

5:22 p.m.—A window was reported broken at a business on South Riverside Avenue. Police said the incident appeared to be accidental.

March 20: 10:45 p.m.—Police received a call from a High Street residence reporting a sewage backup. The Department of Public Works was called and corrected the situation.

March 21: 4:16 p.m.—A caller reported having struck another vehicle on Grand Street on March 19. Though the two drivers exchanged information, the other driver had not gone to a body shop but instead was being harassing, the caller alleged. Police advised the driver about civil court. 

March 22: 11:39 p.m.—A woman called police HQ from her car on Croton Point Avenue and reported she and her passenger were scared and were being followed out of Croton Point Park. Police were dispatched. At about the same time, a park ranger was reporting following an erratic driver out of the park. Officers spoke to both and the incident was closed.
