Heroin, iPod, Interlock Device: Croton Police Blotter
Here are some of the incidents to which the Croton Police Department responded recently.
Jan. 19—7 p.m. A Young Avenue resident reported his son had lost an iPod in the vicinity of Boulevard. The next day a caller reported finding an iPod in a black case on Croton Point Avenue. The iPod and its owner were re-united.
Jan. 18—11:33 a.m. A driver stopped on South Riverside Avenue for speeding was found to have a suspended license, and a police search discovered heroin in her possession. Samantha L. Lopez, 28, of Maple Street, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and was released on $250 bail.
6:29 a.m. Police on patrol stopped a vehicle for failure to signal a turn. The driver had a suspended, restricted license. The Grand Street resident was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, driving a vehicle with no interlock device, and other vehicle and traffic violations.
