DWI Charge after Ellis Place Accident: Ossining Police

Police say a village resident crashed into another car and left the scene.

Police called to the scene of a hit-and-run property damage accident on Ellis Place at 3:09 a.m. Dec. 30 found a vehicle with front-end damage and began searching for a car that matched up.

They found one on William Street with damage that led them to believe it was involved in the Ellis Place incident, said Det. Lt. William Sullivan. The driver admitted he had been involved in a crash and failed a subsequent field sobriety test. His blood alcohol level was .18.

Oscar M. Cabrera-Uguna, 29, of Croton Avenue, is facing a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident, both violations, police said.
