Croton Police: Drunk, Unlicensed Man with Stun Gun Hits Median

A Pleasantville man received a felony weapon possessions charge, among others, after he allegedly drove drunk and unlicensed into the center median of Route 9, Croton police report. 

At 9:27 p.m. on August 9 police responded to an accident on Route 9 north where a Ford pick-up truck had hit a center guardrail in Croton. 

Police said the operator, identified as Robert Williams, 48, of Pleasantville, was found to be driving with an improper license, no insurance, and suspended registration. 

He was allegedly found with a stun gun and charged with criminal possession of a weapon, a D felony. 

Williams was also charged with driving while intoxicated. 

He was arraigned and taken to Westchester County Jail in Valhalla.

Croton police said the truck was towed but the damages were not extensive while Williams suffered no apparent injuries.
