Croton Police Bust Large Teen Party, Make One DWI Arrest

Croton Police broke up a large underage house party around the first bend of Mount Airy Road on July 3 at 10:20 p.m.

Sgt. John Nikitopoulos said that police found numerous bottles of alcohol and beer at the house and detected "a strong smell of marijuana in the area."

There were no parents home but tons of teens. Nikitopoulos said police took about 40 teens to headquarters to get picked up by their parents.

He estimated that over 100 others were able to get away.

Police made one arrest of a 17-year-old McGuire Lane resident on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated.

Nikitopoulos said police are still investigating questions like who brought the alcohol and no other arrests have been made besides the DWI "at this time."

Note: An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
