Croton Cops: Man Down at Sports Club

A summary of recent police activity and arrests in the village of Croton-on-Hudson.

Old Warrant

Croton police detectives arrested a 63-year-old woman on a warrant dating back to 1993 for charges of petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.

They arrested her on Nov. 13 and released her on $100 bail.

Suspicious

Police investigated a call about a suspicious person -- possibly a prowler -- who was seen in a backyard on Grand Street wearing dark clothing.

Police went to the scene on Nov. 13 around 10 p.m. but didn't find anyone; they suspected someone may have just been cutting through yards.

Criminal Mischief

A Truesdale resident reported to police that her car had been damaged in what seemed to be criminal mischief.

On Nov. 14 she said she was out of town but a neighbor had reported to her that her car appeared to have been keyed with a tire slashed.

Everyone's Looking Out for This House

A Dailey Drive resident called police about a suspicious person at their neighbor's house, which was supposed to be unoccupied.

Police on Nov. 15 around 9 p.m. found that the suspicious person was another neighbor looking after the house while its occupants were away.

Not Breathing at Sports Club

Emergency responders gave CPR to a man who was down and not breathing at the New York Sports Club on South Riverside Avenue.

Police received a call for help on Nov. 16 at 9:11 a.m. for the man. He was taken to Westchester County Medical Center.

Police had no further update on his condition.

Note: An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
