Croton Cops: Lascivious Chatter; Litter Bug Cleans Mess

A summary of recent police activity and arrests in the village of Croton-on-Hudson.

12-Year-Old in Chat Room

A Croton pre-teen was apparently using a chat site called Kik Messenger when someone online asked her to share a nude photo of herself.

The 12-year-old refused and told her mother. Her mother told Croton police.

Litter Bug

A man caught dumping garbage out of his car on Farrington Road went back and picked it up, police said.

Police on Nov. 5 at 8:58 p.m. got a report of a guy dumping trash out of his car.

The driver, from Mahopac, was found and advised by police. He went back and collected his trash.

Unhappy Customer

An irate man in a local doctor's office was causing a disturbance, police said.
The office of Dr. Salvatore Pasquale called police on Nov. 6 at 1:50 p.m. to report that they had a disorderly person in the office.

The man had already left upon police arrival but had apparently been upset and yelling over the fact that his blood test results were not in yet.

Two Active Warrants

A Cortlandt Manor man was arrested on Nov. 7 for failure to appear in Croton court on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

After he posted $100 bail, Buchanan Police picked him up for an active bench warrant for the same thing there.

Park Ranger Finds Keys

A Glengary Road woman reported to police on Nov. 8 she had lost her keys on the Croton Gorge Trail.

Luckily, a park ranger recovered them and returned them to the woman, police said.

Note: An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
