Cops: Drunk Driver Gets Out to Urinate in Front of Ossining Police

An Ossining officer reported seeing a man driving through a stop sign, hitting a pedestrian crossing sign, and then proceed to try to urinate in front of him.

Village of Ossining police said they saw a driver on Dec. 13 at 3:20 a.m. on Brandwith Street running through the stop sign and then hitting the crossing sign in the middle of the roadway.

The officer stopped the car and noticed an alcoholic beverage in it. The driver was reportedly also slurring his speech, Det. Jeff Giorgio said.

The officer told the driver to stay put while he returned to his cruiser. At this point, said Giorgio, the man allegedly got out of his car and was about to urinate in the street.

The 32-year-old Broadway, Ossining resident was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, with a blood alcohol count coming in at .18, over twice the legal limit.

He was also charged with resisting arrest.

Note: an arrest does not indicate a conviction.
