Ossining Croton Storm Update

The latest on tonight's storm from Patch, including more than 1,800 homes without power right now.

8:48 p.m. More than 1,200 homes without power in Ossining. More than 600 without power in Croton.

8:25 p.m. Dale avenue completely closed down due to a downed tree.

8:14 p.m. The traffic light is out at Route 9A and Croton Dam Road.

8:10 p.m. Ossining Police say try to keep off the roadways due to numerous road closures.

8:02 p.m. 9A has reopened in the Briarcliff Manor area.

7:47 p.m. Power just went out in the area of Brook View Drive and Croton Dam Road.

7:28 p.m. Traffic moving extremely slowly on 9A North around the Village of Briarcliff Manor as crews work to clear a downed tree and power lines.

6:46 p.m. Metro-North: Hudson Line service is currently experiencing delays of up to 10-15 minutes due to an earlier downed tree. 

6:41 p.m. 9A continues to be closed in the area of Cedar Lane because of downed wires.

6:38 p.m. There are weather related delays on 134 eastbound between Hawkes Avenue and  9A in Ossining.

6:28 p.m. A tree fell onto electric wires on Lounsbury Road in Croton-on-Hudson (see pic).

6:19 p.m South State Road closed around Long Hill Road East in Briarcliff Manor (see pic).

4 p.m. AVOID Route 9A South and Route 9A North in the area of Briarcliff Manor, due to a tree/wires down. Use alternate route if possible.
