Women's group therapy
DIRECTIONS: 6-10 people meeting once a week at a designated place and time (to establish safety, security, consistency, continuity, and confidentiality.)
DOSAGE: once a week, taken on mondays at 4:45 pm.
DURATION: to be determined, but not less than fifteen weeks.
FOR TREATMENT OF: isolation, depression, panic, anxiety, OCD, work and relationship difficulties, sleeping and eating disorders, somatic complaints, sexual disfunction, and more.
SIDE EFFECTS: increased well-being, job and marital satisfaction, increased libido, weight loss, discontinuation of sleeping pills, increased creativity, and decreased visits to medical doctors, and more.
PREVIOUS SOCIAL AND COMMUNAL ATTEMPTS: the sewing circle and quilting bees of colonial and frontier women, treatment for TB patients during the epidemic, soldiers in WWI and WWII, crisis intervention for the NYPD after September 11.
